My computer has no sound, how do i restore it ? help.?

Shortcut to file on shared drive creating duplicates?

At my office we are required to keep a running log of our workload data. The file is an excel spreadsheet kept on a shared drive that everyone (about 40 people) accesses on a weekly basis to enter their personal data. Several of us have created shortcuts on our desktops to access the doent quickly. Now, after a month of using our shortcuts with no problems, we are being told our shortcuts are creating copies on the shared drive that other people who do not use a shortcut are accessing instead of the original doent. Management says these duplicate files have the exact same name and no indication that they are a temporary file or a copy of the original doent. We have had incidences of people making copies because they tried to save while in read mode only, but it says copy in the doent name. This supposed problem shows no indication that the other doent is a copy and I have never actually seen one of these duplicate files. I've done this many times before and never had this problem. Has anyone encountered this problem of duplicate files that resemble the original in every single way, to include the file name, because of someone creating and using a shortcut?

I'm pro se. I plead guilty to an offense of not displaying a decal on my ATV. I was going to take it to a jury but decided to plead guilty in the judges chambers. The judge accepted my plea and pronounced the sentence in chambers. While researching Montana law, it looks as if pleas and sentences must be in "open court". It seems that the basis for this requirement is to uphold public confidence in the court so the public can see its workings. I want to now ask the the court to withdraw my plea based upon it wasn't given in open court. Should I sniff elsewhere or pursue it? Not sure how to argue the point.

I'm a rookie tracklete, and only a freshman. But this last year I've been discovering that I love to run. My current time (with a muscle injury) is 6.32 and I've got a goal to get it down to 5.20 in the next year or so. How long do you think it will take me if I'm willing to work hard? I'm going to base my workouts and diet around this goal so I'm not chugging soda or scarfing down hotdogs. I'm a girl and like I said, a freshmen in high school. Why do people get repulsed when they see something gorey?

Like when they guts, dead rotting carces/bodies, dismemberment, decapitation, disembowlments, cannibalism and all that other stuff. Some people even get offended by some of it, and I really don't see why. My philosophy is that you should treat your guests to what you can afford, rather than asking them to pay for something. I would be fine with going to a wedding that had a few bottles of wine on the table for dinner and NO bar (except for water, sodas, coffee, tea, which should always be free). Or maybe you just mix up pitchers of one signature tail (you could make a lot of sangria with that wine), and that is the only alcohol that is served. Whats going on with me?

Last week or so is started to feel weird just lightheaded and a little dizzy.then i went to sleep and woke up one morning and the entire right side of my face felt numb but the thing about it is i looked fine my lip wasnt drooping like i was having a stroke but i was still lightheaded. then i started having these kind of shortness of breath and the right side of my body felt like i was having sickle cell pain (i do have sickle cell) so i went to the doc and he said he wanted to keep me over night so long story short i stayed for 3 days and had mri, ekgs, cat scans, x rays, blood test, urine test blood pressure was good and just almost every test there could be and they found nothing, nada. So what i want to know is what could be causing my facial numbness, to everyone else i look normal but i don't feel like i do, its hard for me to chew on my right side and my teeth feel weird and i keep biting my the side of the inside of my mouth cause i cant feel it. does anyone have any idea whats wrong, your help will be appreciated.

Canon Digital Rebel XT Upgrade?

To be honest with you the extra two mega pixels will make virtually no difference at all. You certainly would not be able to see a difference unless you were routinely doing large posters. Even then it would be minimal. If you were to upgrade I would say you should upgrade to the 40D or 50D. These are more robust cameras and the higher frames per second could be useful for sports. They also have much better performance at higher ISO's. Other than that I would say you should put your money into a really nice fast lens like the 70-200 F2.8L. This is probably the best lens you can have for sports. It is especially good for basketball and other indoor sports. It might be a bit short for football games but unless you have $5,000 or more for a larger lens it is still your best option.

The plastic electrical connector seperated from the housing, internal wires broke, not repairable. Can't find a stepper motor anywhere, but carb will work fine with a new one. Just don't want to replace the carb if all it needs is a part.

Eating baby powder... is it incredibly bad?

At first I thought this question was a joke, but while searching the internet for an answer I realized this is a serious problem that a lot of people have. And while I'm not a doctor (or anything close!) this is what I've found out simply from reading what OTHER people have said to others with your problem. Most baby powder contains gypsum, which has trace amounts of asbestos, not the best mineral to be eating. This would be carcinogenic over a long period of time and in the short run could cause intestinal blockage, which is a medical emergency and very painful. The best thing you can do is to substitute corn starch or some other harmless starch for the baby powder. And in my own personal opinion you should talk to a doctor about this. Think about it- if it WAS okay to be eating this stuff- everyone would know about it and it would probably advertised as being safe for babies to consume. But rather everyone is saying that you should never let your babies play with powder bottles just in case they eat some. So just because nothing has happened to you yet (that you know of) - doesn't mean its a good idea to keep doing it. Research this a bit more and you'll realize SO many other people are the same as you. I hope you find the answers your looking for! Good Luck..

How can I get her to eat more??

I recently found out that my 11 week old hasn't been gaining weight and has lost a tiny bit. So, I've been trying to get her to eat more and longer, but I think she got into not having an appetite while she was sickish a week or so ago and won't eat for long. I'd only been able to feed her for about 20 minutes and apparently that's not enough. The past couple of days, I've managed to get her to eat for 30-40 minutes everytime, but she seems to fight it for some reason. How long should she be eating each feeding and how far apart should the feedings be? I am exclusively feeding, by the way. I just need to know a way to get her to want to eat for longer periods of time.

ok so my brother (28) his father (52) and i (20) y/o decided to go watch the paper view fights at show mes (witch is pretty much and bar restaurant) it was pretty packed so we had to look for a place to sit, i walked around and ended up finding them sitting at a table with these 2 guys and they said the guys didn't mind us using part of the table so i sat down smoked a cig then the food came i ate my meal and we finished are soda's (none of us were drinking but the two guys finished there 3rd drink and who knows how many more they had before we arrived) anyways i was getting ready to smoke another cig and then my brother went to the restroom and then as i was lighting it it the guy said something but i couldn't hear him so i got closer and he asked if i wouldn't smoke i replied well its a bar but ill do what i been doing since i got here, and blow towards the vent above us and so i light the cig and the guy grabbed my new pack of cigs destroyed them and tossed them behind him and accidentally hit a waitress in the back so i told him he was a peace of **** and he was going to pay for that by that time my brother came back and i stood up and told him to back me up and make sure his friend didn't jump in so the man called me out and told me to meet him out side so i picked up my jacket and was ready to whoop his drunk ***, but as i was walking out my brothers dad already had a cop out side with the guy and the cop was getting ready to wright the guy a ticket anyways i told him not to give him a ticket but remember what a dumb *** you are when you get sober and how your not in jail. on top of all this my brother and his dad have been smoking too and 90% of every one there that night was smoking, its the only restaurant left in my area where you can smoke so that's why everyone goes anyways do you think i did the right thing by sticking up for my self? also the cop told us we should probably go so we forgot to pay the bill do you think we should go back and pay the bill or will they have to pay since its there table? lol

Your baby cannot talk and when he cries, he/she is trying to tell you he needs something. If you were trying to tell somebody something would them ignoring you make you stop trying to tell them? Especially if you were trying to express a need? From my experience, if you meet your baby's needs s/he will stop crying. A baby who KNOWS that his needs will be met and has that trust actually will not cry for no reason. Some people mistakenly believe that by tending to their baby's needs when s/he cries they are "spoiling" him. This is not true. Babies cannot express needs in any other way, and to ignore a crying baby is to ignore him when he needs you. Just because YOU think he is crying for no reason or just to be held, doesn't mean that is why he is crying. Your instinct tells you not to let him cry or you wouldn't have asked. Trust your instinct and meet your baby's needs.

The reason I ask is because I believe my daughter has an attitude, lol. I am high risk so I get a sonogram everytime I see my doc. He usually does a 3D on me so I get to see her features and things like that and she is usually not shy at all. My last appointment, my mother went with me so I was really excited about her seeing the 3D image. Well, my daughter wasn't being friendly at all! For one, she had her back toward us and when she finally moved she flipped us off, literally, lol. The doctor was so amazed he even kept a picture for himself. Then when they went to do the 3D on her face, she hid her face with her arms. She would not let them get a good look at her face at all but had her legs wide open, lol. for me, the bottomline here is constant communication between parents and their children. i am a working mom but i see to it that at the end of the day, it is my children that matters. i ask questions they ask me and i see to it that i am always there to give them informations that they want to know and im always there for emotional support that they need. during weekends, we are always together, sharing whatever we have and i love that. i am so proud of my children. they are my angels.

i don't think you can really internship in an occupational therapist role. at my last job a woman had to complete a said amount of hours in just an observatory role, while in graduate school. and make no mistake, you will need a master's degree to be an occupational therapist. however, i took a job as am inpaiten residential counselor and was able to gain experience working with our unit's mental health therapist. you might want to try applying for a job in a job placement center where you'll have a lot of exposure to different job materials or could volunteer in one of those agencies. I'm a phsych graduate and originally wanted to be a mental health therapist until i realize the added stress, the average yearly income, and the increase in hours worked for the week. What's ironic is that these 2 types of master's degree generally require more totaled credit hours and observation hours than other majors and are still one of the lowest page. me? i want to be a school counselor... that where the big $ is :)

It is not a coin but a 3" or so replica. I have one also and I got mine at Saint Gaudens studio here in New Hampshire. I don't really know anything about Xbox, but it could be that only a part of the disc is damaged. The single player might still work if only the multiplayer files are damaged. You can try taking the disc to a repair service if you want, but it's not guaranteed that it will fix the read error.

The screwdriver came in contact with a hot screw and the metal of the switch or it could have been the side of a metal box if the switch was in a metal box. Either way......electricity went from the source to ground. You DO NOT WANT to be grounded when messing with electricity. You want to be isolated from electricity. Electricity wants to be used or go to ground and you do not want to be that path to ground. It only takes 0.06 amps to stop your heart.....less than what it takes to light one single Christmas light bulb. Luckily, in your case, the electricity ped from the hot screw, through the screw driver and to ground instead of through him. He should consider himself lucky and next time......PLEASE.....turn off the power before messing with electricity, especially because you don't know what you're doing. Also.....white wires aren't always neutrals. They can be "switch legs" (hot wires feeding electricity to switches)

MLA citation help please?

I have two different text books for one cl and they are both anthologies with the works of many different authors. I am writing a paper about Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics... half of which is in one book and the other half is in the other book... so I have to cite them both. But, when you cite a work from an anthology your in-text citation is the name of the author of the work... not the editor of the anthology. So... for either book it will just be (Aristotle + page number). It doesn't seem right that the citation will be exactly the same for either book. How will they know what book it came from? Does it matter?

Is it normal that i got emotional when i was watching my baby daughter sleeping?

My girlfriend gave birth last week to a gorgeous baby girl and we brought her back to our apartment. But anyway last night i couldn't sleep too well, so i got out of bed and went and just sat with my daughter and watched her sleep. While i was watching her sleep, I suddenly got really emotional and teary eyed just looking at how peaceful she looked, and I suppose in a way i was thinking how happy i am to have her in my life. 10 month old puppy not well today?

My 10 month old puppy did not eat his breakfast for the first time today....I had to coax him. He then fell back to sleep. 3 hour later right after drinking water he brought everything all back up. I took him outside where his stool was soft. We played for awhile and he seemed ok, not 100% but not as sluggish as he was inside. He then slept all afternoon. I woke him up to take him back outside this time his stool was pure liquid. But then magical seemed to feel better and perked back up and actually wanted food...I gave him a little doggie treat. Since he seemed ok, I placed some brown rice and chicken down for him which he ate. Again 3 hours later up it came. I called my vet they said I should watch him overnight and if by tomorrow he hasn't kept anything down I should bring him in. He is 10 months and we have been lucky that he has been pretty healthy. I am concerned....what could be causing this and are there any home remedies for tummy aches?

I think it sounds like he doesn't like her in the way she wants him to, but it sounds like the main reason why is that he said she always seems pissed off with him. If I was her I'd just be a little more friendly, not like flirting just being nicer like she would to a friend, he may start to see her in a different way after a while. But I think she should also try to move on, like I mean she can still like him but just sort of get on with her own things, and if she does that and is more friendly when she does talk to him, he may start to like her more. HELP! I need legal advice regarding paternity and divorce!?

Methods of deletion, pesky folder.?

It's been a week now and one folder stands above the rest, making me seem inferior to it. Time and time again, I delete the pesky folder, but upon login the next time, there it is again. This folder has nothing in it (blank, no files are containted in said folder) Restarting, Rebooting, Logging off and logging back in, Complete Shutdown, has all been used to rid me of this nuisance. Given your budget, your best bet would probably be the keyboard. Something like a Roland Juno or a Korg X50 would meet your requirements and give you a good mix of sounds. If later you wanted to expand your sounds with a module, you could control it with the keyboard. You could even set up a rack box with a line mixer & multiple sound modules, but keep in mind having all those sounds available can be great, but keeping track of everything (midi cables, levels, channels, ect.) in a live situation can get tricky. I've tried this when playing live & have found that usually the simplest approach is the most reliable. Now I just use 2 keyboards independently.
