I was very interested to read what economist Kenneth Rogoth of Harvard said about depression. He had just published a study of financial crises throughout world history, starting with the 14th century. When things fell apart, he was asked what the chance of another Great Depression was and he said "zero." He said in his study that the effects of a financial crisis are very predictable. All of his predictions about how this recession would go have come true.
