How much would it cost to replace the cadeletic converter on a 88 toyota camry?

like how much for the piece itself and how much for the service would it cost? the car has 223k on it and it cant p the smog according to my mechanic because of it and will cost 800 dollars to replace that and like 2 bolts or whatever. that seems a bit high to me
